Chestnut honey from Monte Pasubio

Honey collected in late June and early July from beehives located in Alta Val Leogra on the slopes of Monte Pasubio, in the typical vegetation belt of the chestnut (Castanea sativa) located around 600 meters.

It is a honey with a characteristic pungent and very aromatic scent and an intense and extremely persistent flavor in the mouth.

  • Its color is dark amber, with reddish hues in liquid honey, brown when crystallized.
  • Several times awarded among the best honeys of the Vicentine foothills, is today one of the most sought after honeys among those produced by the company.
  • It is widely used in the kitchen in combination with especially aged cheeses (pecorino and caprini), but also with fresh cow's milk ricotta or mascarpone.
  • Fresh wholemeal product that has not undergone heat treatments of conservation and refining.
  • Food with high biological value, rich in fructose, glucose, enzymes and trace elements.
