Fresh asiago dop mountain product🧀  

The selection of Malga Verde cheeses is unmistakable; the cheeses produced by the Cortese family are a beautiful expression of mountain pasture productions which, in their case, take place exclusively from June to mid-October, on the Asiago plateau. 

WHAT DOES "MOUNTAIN PRODUCT" MEAN? 

It is NOT a lowland Asiago.

-produced above 600 meters of altitude 

-seasoning tastes and flavors different from the Asiago of "Plain". 

N.B: Each box is shipped with fresh-save polystyrene packages with dry ice! The cheese is vacuum packed.

Asiago Fresco DOP cheese, also called pressed Asiago, is produced with whole milk and matured for at least 20 days.

  • The color is white or slightly straw-colored
  • characterized by a marked and irregular eye formation and by the taste of freshly milked milk
  • delicate and pleasant
  • it melts pleasantly in the mouth, leaving an irresistible sweet and slightly acidulous note
  • produced by cows grazing on the Asiago Plateau
  • mountain pasture product

This cheese is a "Product of the Mountain" because it was produced at an altitude of 1100m on the Asiago Plateau. (the specification of the Asiago DOP consortium defines it)

Ingredients: Thermised cow's milk, salt, rennet, selected milk fermets.

Allergens: Milk and milk-based products (including lactose)

Storage conditions: Store at a temperature of 4°C or lower.

Nutrition declaration per 100g of product:Energy value 1527 KJ / 368 Kcal, fat 30 g (of which saturated 21 g), carbohydrates 0.5 g (of which sugars 0.2 g) protein 24 g, salt 1.7 g.
